Dear Valued Clients,

We want to assure you that we will be doing everything we can to provide you with the service you have come to rely upon from our office.

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT YET DROPPED OFF THEIR INFORMATION:

There are three options from which to choose:

1) Office Drop-off: the office is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.

2) Paperless/Email: we are able to prepare your return(s) paperlessly…therefore you do not need to come to the office. If you decide to do this, please follow these steps carefully:

  • Email bridget@roberthendriks.ca and insert in the subject line “PAPERLESS”…do NOT attach your personal information with this email. Please enter your name, address, phone # and any other relevant information you would normally share with us about your return to this email.
  • You will receive a response providing you with further instructions and a link to securely send your information to us .

3) Mail: for those who do not have access to email, you can send your information by mail (registered mail is advised) to the address under the Payment section below or send it via a courier company with tracking service.

FOR THOSE WHOSE TAX RETURNS COME THROUGH A FINANCIAL ADVISOR:

Please make arrangements with your Advisor regarding how your information will be given to them. Your Advisor can then drop your return(s) off to our office per instructions above for “Office Drop-offs” while the office remains open.

FOR CORPORATE CLIENTS/YEAR-END MEETINGS:

All year-end meetings/appointments with Corporate Clients are pre-scheduled. At the present time, some meetings may be held in person at the office, via phone or internet (i.e. Zoom or Teams). Please note, office/in-person appointment times are limited.

WHEN RETURNS ARE COMPLETED / SIGNING FORMS/RETURNING YOUR INFORMATION:

When your return is completed you will be called and given the results; at that time we will arrange for your signature of documents and your information to be returned to you in one of four ways:

  1. Scheduled Office Pickup
    • *Please note: if you arrange for someone other than yourself to pick up your return(s) we must have a signed authorization form on file for this person. If we do not have this authorization form, you will need to contact our office and have this signed before we can release your information.
  2. Electronically via DocuSign
  3. Registered Mail
    • You will be required to sign all applicable documents and return them to our office
    • Registered mail / XpressPost: due to the confidential and sensitive nature of the information being mailed, this option ensures that your package is trackable. Depending on the weight of your package, the cost for this type of mail is typically around $19.95+HST. All shipping charges will be applied to your account. Robert Hendriks CPA is not responsible for lost or stolen packages.
  4. Financial Advisor
    • If your return(s) came to our office in this way, you will be required to sign all applicable documents and arrange through your Advisor how they will be returned to our office.

Due to space constraints, please note that we are not able to hold onto files. If you are a client of a Financial Advisor (who normally picks up your return on your behalf) please clarify arrangements with them.

If you receive your CRA correspondence via mail…we strongly recommend that you setup for Direct Deposit (DD) in the event that you are issued a refund for your tax return(s); you can do this through CRA MyAccount or provide us with DD information before the filing of your tax return.

PAYMENT OF TAX RETURNS – payment for your tax return preparation can be made in one of the following ways:

  1. Cash, debit or cheque (preferred) or credit card at the office
  2. via phone by credit card
  3. direct online payment from emailed invoice
  4. by e-transfer to rob@roberthendriks.ca (preferred)
  5. or by cheque made payable to Robert Hendriks CPA Professional Corporation
